FAQ’s

Frequently Asked Questions –

Q – How long does a typical web design project take?

A- Each project varies as far as time needed to complete. Many factors come into play including functions and features of the  website and how prepared you the business owner will be. We do most of the work, but we will still need information from you such as images, videos, and actual content.  However, the typical website project will take between 3-6 weeks to complete.

Q – How much will it cost me to have my new website created?

A- The Million Dollar question! Each and every website is dynamic in itself. Therefore, each carries a different cost associated with the creation and implementation of the project. We are small business too, and we can appreciate sticking within a certain budget. That being said, we can work with all budgets. It will just be a matter of what features we can and cannot include depending the amount you have available.

To give you a range of a typical website design project with limited functionality, you can expect to be in the $1,500 – $4,000 range. However, we have had projects come in as low as $800 and projects come in as high as $12,000! The best bet is to contact us and discuss what you are looking to accomplish, let us make our recommendations, and see if it is a good fit.

Q – What makes Double Down 2.0 different from every other Web design / Internet marketing firm?

A – We aim to be more than just “order takers”. Technology, Websites, Internet Marketing, Social Media Marketing, all moves at such a fast pace, that even us in the industry cannot keep up! Therefore, we position ourselves more as consultants, that try to give you the best advice on building an Internet Marketing Strategy that will work for you, and that meets your budget.

We are also top notch, professional talent at an affordable price. We are not a (1) man shop working out of our Garage! Every member of our team has  previously worked for a large Web design / Internet marketing firm in the past. We realize that these larger firms often skip right over small/medium sized businesses and market directly to larger businesses where they can score a larger sale to cover high overhead costs.

That being said we work as a cohesive team, each having our own set of core capabilities, and diligently try to keep our costs down to pass the savings on to you. This way we can keep our part of the bargain, developing professional Websites and Marketing Strategies at an affordable price. (Plus we like dealing with actual business owners, and not a board of directors!)

Q – What is PR?

A – Page Rank, PR, is used by the Google search engine that assigns a numerical weighting to each website with the purpose of measuring its relative importance among websites. Google assigns a rank from 0-10, 10 being the highest possible PR and 0 being the lowest PR. A relative link from a very reputable (high PR) website back to your website is worth sometimes hundreds/thousands of time more than a link from a low PR website.

Q – How long will it take for my website to reach the Top 3 pages of the search engine results?

A- There are many factors that play into how fast it will take to get top rankings. It can sometimes take many months, even years, of concentrated Search Engine Optimization to get to the #1 spot. One major factor is your sites CONTENT. You need to have plenty of relevant content on your site to be able to reach those top spots. Another major factor that comes into play are the number of competitors going after the same keyword phrase. You will have a better chance at going after a keyword that has 250,000 results than you would one that has 4,000,000 results!

Q – How many words can a Keyword be?

A – A Keyword can be as long as you wish. Optimal size is between 3-4 word phrases.  However, rule of thumb is to not go further out than 5 words. Example: If you were in the Credit Repair business, you might go after the Keyword – “Best Wisconsin Credit Repair Companies”

Q – How many backlinks can be added to my site at one time?

A – Google and the other major search engines are not as dumb as you may think. If they see that your site went from having (8) backlinks to (500) over night, they will hurt your rankings and maybe even REMOVE YOU COMPLETLEY from their directory! Therefore, a slow and steadily increasing linking strategy is needed.
